Chemical etching uses acids to etch a design into the surface of the material in order to increase durability and long-term legibility of the part. The depth of commercial nameplate etching varies from 0.0015” to 0.003”, depending on the height and stroke of letters and the type of metal or alloy.
Screen printing involves applying ink directly on the surface of the material and then heat dried for long-lasting results. Texas Nameplate can provide single color or multi-color printing and can custom match inks based on coded Pantone colors.
Texas Nameplate uses our digital UV inkjet printer to print custom artwork directly only the aluminum asset tags and equipment labels. This is a quick, efficient process for indoor use nameplates.
