I was given this kaleidoscope from a mentor of mine as a gift that I have always treasured. When he gave me this, he urged me to look through it whenever problems arise and look for the good and try to find beauty in all situations where it might be hard to find. I believe in looking for the good in the middle of bad times, trying to see things differently. At Texas Nameplate that is how we operate, we look at how can we make a positive impact in this world. The Digital Nameplate® process covered by U.S. Patent No. 8,540,285 enables Texas Nameplate Company to chemically etch QR Codes (quick response) and UID’s on traditional metal nameplates.

Unlike traditional, painted metal nameplates, Texas Nameplate’s 2D matrix codes are chemically etched , meaning the codes can last a lifetime, withstanding harsh environments like salt water, outdoor elements common in oil fields and extreme temperatures and sun exposure prevalent in the solar and energy industries. Texas Nameplate Company’s patented process of chemical etching allows for these codes to be read electronically even after the color fades away.

We invested 3 years of research and development toward this project. The new method was developed when it was discovered previous method did not protect RFID chip from external weather conditions or unexpected impact with other objects.
